I’m Melissa Battah, and I’m running for Vermont State Representative!
My name is Melissa Battah and I am running as the Democratic candidate for the Washington-Orange State Representative in Barre Town, Graniteville, Websterville, and parts of Williamstown. I am running because I want to give back to this community which has become home. I will bring a fresh perspective and mother’s insight to the issues which matter most in our community.
My decades of experience in nonprofit management will help me make informed decisions about the future of our towns. My years of working as a community organizer will give me the experience needed to listen to the needs of our community.
I am running to create opportunities for our people, community and businesses to grow, live and thrive
I can’t do this without your support and without your vote.
To ensure we continue to have neighborhoods which attract more families with young children like us, as well as balance the concerns of our neighbors who have retired, we need representatives who listen well and have values which reflect the community who lives here.
People in WAS-ORA district deserve a future that works for ALL Vermonters. And I am the best candidate to continue to lead us along this path into the future.
Join me & vote Melissa Battah for WAS-ORA State Representative
A place to thrive
Quality education, a wide range of activities which bring the community together and safe neighborhoods, are just a few examples of what makes the WAS-ORA district a desirable place to put down roots and grow. I commit to listening to the needs of our community and build on the foundations which have been laid.
A place to grow
Whether you own a shop, work from home or are an employee of one of the dozens of businesses in Barre Town, Graniteville, Websterville or Williamstown, making our district a desirable place to take a risk helps us grow so our communities can thrive. I commit to ensuring that future generations have the skills to become engaged entrepreneurs in our community.
A place to live
From granite quarries, to hiking and biking trails, to sledding hills to playgrounds to VAST, the WAS-ORA district provides a myriad of outdoor opportunities to connect us to nature. I commit to bringing fresh ideas for future generations while preserving the beauty which has been entrusted to us to pass along to them.
What makes this district so amazing are all the neighbors who give richly of their time and talents to allow our residents to thrive and our community and businesses to grow.
